Nearly 2,000 IBS patients surveyed in 2007 by the International Foundation for Functional Gastrointestinal Disorders reported that diagnosis of their IBS was typically made 6.6 years after the symptoms began.

This would indicate that IBS
is a common yet puzzling
medical diagnosis.

IBS Relief Program

This IBS Relief Program is for intensive gut healing and rejuvenation and involves comprehensive testing.

Our approach is to gain an in-depth understanding of why you are struggling with digestive issues and then use proven therapies to promote optimal functioning of the digestive tract.

Our program focuses on decreasing the inflammation in the digestive tract, healing the intestinal lining and re-establishing the proper function of the digestive tract.

1. Initial Consultation Preparation

To prepare for your Initial Consultation please print and complete our Patient Intake Form. You will bring your completed Intake Form to your Initial Consultation with the doctor.

The Intake Form gives the doctor a tremendous amount of information that will become the basis of conversation during your Initial Consultation. Following this in-depth overview of your current health state and health history, the doctor will do a general unobtrusive physical exam.

2. Heart Rate Variability Analysis (HRV)

HRV testing assesses the autonomic nervous system and allows us to see the gastrointestinal tracts ability to heal itself. This test is repeated every 3 months to track progress.

The Heart Rate Variability analysis (HRV) test depicts a visual representation of heart rhythm called rhythmography. Rhythmography can graph the relationship between the two components of the Autonomic Nervous System (ANS).

The HRV is done in two parts, one with the patient lying down in a relaxed state and one with the patient standing, which simulates a slightly stressed state. We can then see how the nervous system reacts in a relaxed state and in a stressed state.  READ MORE

3. Initial Consultation (approx. 60 minutes) and includes Electrodermal Screening,  Review Test Results and Treatment Plan

Electrodermal Screening allows us to assess the viability of all the organs including the digestive tract, the liver and the adrenals. This test is conducted on the initial assessment as well as subsequent visits to track progress.  READ MORE

TREATMENT PLAN:

  • Visceral manipulation therapy is used to release adhesions and allow better movement and function of the bowels. Visceral manipulation therapy is done once a week for 6 weeks.

  • Supplements and nutritional guidelines will be part of the program to decrease the inflammation in the gut and heal the mucous membranes of the digestive tract.

  • Vitamin IVs may be necessary to bypass the digestive tract and stimulate more rapid healing in the body.

  • Follow-up visits are scheduled at 6 and 12 weeks to track progress and make the necessary changes to ensure success.
